GOODMAN Group has acquired a 2.29-hectare cleared industrial site in Sydney’s southern suburb of Banksmeadow for $25.2 million, which it intends to lease long-term despite its strata development potential.
The Corish Circle site was part of The Home Investment Consortium’s $70 million sale of former Masters sites, which included one in Frenchs Forest and two in Heatherbrae in the Hunter region.
Charter Hall acquired the Frenchs Forest site, at 2-6 and 8 Rodborough Road and 357-373 Warringah Road, for $32 million for its $700 million-plus unlisted wholesale fund Long WALE Hardware partnership, with a lease to Australia Post returning $3.36 million.
A private buyer purchased the 4.6-hectare site at 8 Griffith Street for $12.3 million. It has a 13,153 sqm purpose-built hardware retail warehouse and 4,029 sqm large format retail development with four retail tenants, including PETstock, BCF nad Don’s Tiles.
Goodman Group will release its quarterly operational update this morning.
