CHARTER HALL has pounced on training facilities for the Australian Federal Police and the Australian Border Force in Sydney and Melbourne, paying a combined $120 million for the assets that were both designed and developed by Qanstruct.
The recently completed Sydney asset on McPherson Street in the southern suburb of Banksmeadow encompasses a 23,000 sqm site with a 3,000 sqm building, and is also leased to the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources.
In Melbourne, the 385,000 sqm facility at Bulla in the north-west is home to the national dog detector program and has an 8,000 sqm building.
They traded with 15 and 25-year leases to the federal government.
JLL negotiated the sales.
