CUSHMAN & Wakefield has bolstered its commercial real estate business in New South Wales with the appointment of Simon Fenn as managing director.
Fenn joins from Savills where he held the position of managing director of NSW, managing a team of almost 400 staff.
He has over 25 years’ experience and has handled some of Sydney’s largest transactions, including the sales of Blackstone’s 275 Kent St to ISPT for $860 million; 40 Mount St North Sydney for Primerica and 50% interest in MLC Centre on behalf of GPT.
C&W’s Austraia and New Zealand chief executive James Patterson said this appointment forms part the agency’s strategy to expand its presence in NSW and build on other recent senior hires.
“Attracting a leader of Simon’s calibre to Cushman & Wakefield is a coup for our business, and I am extremely excited to welcome him to the executive team. Simon has a proven ability to grow and lead a business and his management approach aligns with Cushman & Wakefield’s high performing and inclusive culture,” he added.
Head of capital markets Josh Cullen added that this appointment marks another major milestone in the continuing growth of C&W’s commercial real estate platform, and follows strategic acquisitions, most recently in the capital markets and valuation areas, and a number of significant senior appointments across the business.
