GROWTHPOINT Properties Australia has appointed Vicinity Centres’ Jacqueline Jovanovski as chief operating officer, general counsel and company secretary, beginning from early in the new financial year.

Jovanovski is currently company secretary and head of compliance at Vicinity Centres, where she has been since 2007. She has held roles as a lawyer with legal firms Minter Ellison, Linklaters and Herbert Smith Freehills, in Melbourne and London.

Timothy Collyer, managing director, said, “We very much look forward to Jacquee join Growthpoint. Her deep commercial and legal experience is coupled with strong leadership qualities that will be integral to Growthpoint’s expansion in coming years.”

Yien Hong, who has been acting as general counsel and company secretary since April last year, will continue in the interim role.

“Yien has been an important contributor to a successful period for Growthpoint and we thank her for her service.”

QIC Global Real Estate poached Vicinity’s newly-minted chief financial officer Michael O’Brien earlier this year.
