COLLIERS has appointed Shane Van Beest to the role of national director within the office leasing team in Brisbane.

Van Beest has been working in the Brisbane metro market for 13 years, most recently at Knight Frank, where he was responsible for some of the biggest leasing transactions in the metro market over the past few years including 7,200sqm for Downer Services and 3,000sqm to Sandvik on behalf of AMP Capital at 135 Coronation Drive; negotiating a new 10-year lease of 8,000sqm for CPB Contractors; and finalising a new lease of 4,600sqm for Macquarie Bank on behalf of Hines at 825 Ann Street, prior to the sale of the asset to Centuria.

Prior to that, he spent six years working at CBRE and Savills. He was also a dual Olympian.

“We are excited for Shane to join us considering he is one of the most experienced leasing agents in Brisbane and has strong relationships with the majority of Brisbane’s institutional and private landlords,” Colliers office leasing managing director Simon Hunt said. “This recruitment bolsters our already strong performing team who will now be the biggest office leasing agency in Brisbane.”
