CBRE Hotels has appointed former JLL Hotels executive Troy Craig as regional director of its valuation & advisory services team for Australia and New Zealand.

Craig brings over 25 years’ experience in hotel and hospitality market and was previously managing director of the strategic advisory division of JLL’s hotels and hospitality group.

“An acknowledged leader in hotel advisory work and valuations in the region, with a great depth of experience, Troy will add a new dimension to our already strong and growing team of 30 professionals across the Pacific, reinforcing our position in the market and our commitment to providing a leading service offering to our clients,” CBRE Hotels’ executive director Robert McIntosh said.

Craig said hotel markets across the Pacific were fundamentally sound, with strong investor appetite and a positive outlook in terms of tourism demand.

“There are also emerging challenges that require the keen eye of experienced specialists to determine exactly what these competing forces mean as we move into the next decade,” he said.
