Govt extends HomeBuilder due to construction challenges

THE Albanese government has extended the deadline for the HomeBuilder scheme due to the challenges in the supply chain and construction delays.

The government will move the deadline of 30 April 2023 to 30 June 2025 for submission of supporting documentation for applicants impacted by delays.

The move has been welcomed by the industry, Property Council chief executive Mike Zorbas said it is the right thing to do.
