LEIGHTON Contractors has been awarded a contract by Bechtel to construct the $84 million temporary workers accommodation village on Curtis Island at Gladstone.
The 2600-bed Curtis Island village and site facilities project will house project teams during the construction of liquefied natural gas infrastructure.
The project is due for completion in 2013.
