CONSTRUCTION has started on Scape’s a $95 million 787-bed student accommodation development on Vulture Street in Brisbane.
Hindmarsh has been appointed to design and construct the Scape Brisbane project, which is expected to engage around 2,000 workers during construction, with the project expected to be ready for student occupation in 2018.
Scape Brisbane will feature a range of communal areas and additional facilities including study areas, lounges, and a gym. It located in proximity to several universities, a nightlife and has easy access to transportation links.
“Scape Brisbane will be a key addition to our Queensland pipeline and we look forward to delivering a new standard of student accommodation to people studying in Brisbane,” Hindmarsh chief executive officer Rowan Hindmarsh said. “This is an important development to support recent investments in education and infrastructure in Queensland and we’re proud to be playing a pivotal role.”
