CUSHMAN & Wakefield has appointed Michael Di Carlo as director of retail leasing in Victoria.
Di Carlo joins from Savills, where he was the divisional director of retail services. His client list included Christian Dior and Foot Locker.
“We want to be among the top three in every market in the world. Cushman & Wakefield’s Main Streets Across the World report recently ranked Bourke Street Melbourne Mall as the fifth most expensive retail location in the Asia Pacific region, so it’s logical that we continue to expand our presence in such a key retail destination,” Cushman & Wakefield Australia and New Zealand chief executive James Patterson said.
National director of retail Ben Tremellen said Melbourne has recently seen several high profile retailers enter the market, however, competition remains fierce with more planned international retailers vying for quality retail locations to launch their brands in Australia.
“Michael’s impressive Melbourne CBD experience will ensure we are well placed to meet market demands. We are excited to welcome him to Cushman & Wakefield,” Tremellen said.
