Accor and Fragrance scent new boom in Perth

ACCOR and Singapore’s Fragrance Group are opening a new 431-room hotel in Perth, which will become the French hotelier’s largest property in Western Australian capital.

The Novotel Perth Murray St will increase Accor’s portfolio count to over 2,400 rooms in Perth.

Located at 388 Murray St, right next to Shafto Lane and its popular eateries and bars, it is slated for a soft opening on 19 December 2019 in the heart of the Perth CBD. It is expected that the hotel will be fully operational by Q1 2020.

This will be the second hotel for Fragrance Group and Accor in Australia, following the success of the Ibis Styles Hobart, which is the largest hotel in Tasmania.

Fragrance Group CEO, James Koh said the Novotel Perth Murray St which will be a fresh addition to the already vibrant city for the ever increasing number of visitors and will serve both business travellers and tourists alike.

Accor Pacific chief operating officer Simon McGrath said Accor is the largest operator of hotels in Perth and the group’s three latest hotel openings come at a time when domestic tourism to WA is up around 10%.

“We are confident in the growth of international tourism in Perth and having the renowned global branding of Novotel and Accor’s worldwide distribution will help to bring new international visitors to Perth.

“With new Qantas routes between Perth and London, new connections between Tokyo and test flights to Shanghai, the future is looking bright,” McGrath concluded.
