PROPERTY professional Geoffrey Brown has joined real estate and advisory firm LAWD as a shareholder and member of the executive leadership team, and will spearhead its new specialist property valuations business unit.
Brown has more than 25 years’ involvement in the valuation of diverse real estate assets including agribusiness, rural, commercial, industrial and residential property, and is a renowned specialist valuer of childcare, educational and medical facilities. He also has experience in compulsory acquisition work and litigation matters.
“Geoffrey’s appointment will have immediate impact on our capability to deliver a diverse specialist offering and he will be integral to building what we hope will become the nation’s premier specialist valuations unit,” LAWD CEO, Enda Foley said.
Brown’s appointment follows LAWD’s recent expansion of its services across professional services, industrial real estate and metropolitan development, to complement and broaden its foundations in agribusiness, regional residential and peri-urban development.
Brown said he would be particularly focused on developing the depth and capability of the specialist property valuations unit.
“I have broad experience in childcare assets, litigation and acquisition and am looking forward to growing these elements of LAWD’s services, along with rental determinations and the valuation of hospitality and medical assets,” he said.
