ABACUS Property Group has announced that long-term CFO Rob Baulderstone will retire from the position after 18 years with the group.
Current general manager – finance, Evan Goodridge will take his place from July. Baulderstone will remain with the company until the end of August to ensure a smooth transition and handover.
“Rob has made a significant contribution to Abacus as a trusted leader and member of the executive committee,” Abacus’ managing director, Steven Sewell said.
“Since my appointment to managing director in 2018, Rob has been a key contributor to the strategic transformation of Abacus to a strong asset-backed, annuity-style business model and I thank him for his dedication and support.”
Goodridge joined Abacus in 2011 and in his current position has led the finance function across treasury, financial reporting, accounting and tax.
Sewell said, “Having worked closely with Rob for the past 10 years, Evan brings the relevant experience to the role and together with Rob will ensure a smooth transition.”
Abacus has just closed its $200 million fully underwritten institutional placement that it will use to boost its self-storage portfolio.
The group reported interim FFO per security growth of 8.2%.
